Also, I’ve been gifted a snide Submariner date (looks decent to my untutored eye).
Probably inappropriate, doesn’t seem to work but free to anyone who wants it

A flyback with the same vibe as the SeaQ? How about a classic:

Feeling splurging on a tidy dive watch.
Thinking Farer Aqua Endeavour Titanium or Baltic Aquascape dual crown.Farer pros - raised numerals, titanium, characterful
- cons - apmost twice the price of the baltic
Balitoc pros - alot less than the farer for a similar look, comes in black - intereting polishing
Cons - not raised markers ok - maybe a bit less refined than the farer.Anyone own a farer or a baltic and can comment on general qaulity of finishing, mechnisms etc?
Baltic has a miyota 9039, farer is a sellita sw200-1 elaboré calibre.
Guessing the money on tbe farer goes on the materials and movement. I mean as long as it keeps reasonable time im not overly concrened.
Thoughts welcome

Also took a punt on a monswatch a couple of weeks ago, and for me the worst thing about it (other than its cheap and plastic and also not that cheap for plastic) is the dial legibility really isnt very good, maybe its just the hands and the noise of the chrono dials behind, kind of put me off chronos in general from a readability perspective, and no i dont need glasses 😂

Gah, I am trying hard not to be interested in this. What's the timekeeping like?

I photographed this watch in great detail, the dial really is stunning and that pic doesn’t do it justice

“Solid” - 9s per day or so :-)

You’re right… It can be quite green, although I’m not a photographer. Something like this?

Loving this, only seen highly polished cases and black dial but this is spot on!
Thanks!

Outstanding loungewear, inspired by Colin Farrel’s attire in The Gentleman?

Where’s it from looks good

Yes, Farer are made to a higher level of quality than Baltic (and in Switzerland, by Roventa), though Baltic are good VFM (mostly made in Hong Kong with final assembly in France). Also it's less that titanium is more expensive than steel, more that it's harder to work with in terms of machining/finishing. The Sellita movement is certainly more expensive than the Miyota too, at least three times more.

I prefer the Farer and in the white face, it has more character. Other options

I prefer the Farer from those options. There's also a Vulcain Nautique skindiver? Love the look but no idea about build quality.

All excellent facts, thanks! Yeah I mean printing a dial must be way cheaper than trying to get the raised 1 and 2 in twelve in the right place!

Ah man, loving the alpina
-
• #77098
The Alpina is very close the Longines Heritage design wise and also price wise if you look second hand.
https://handt.co.uk/products/longines-legend-diver-l3-674-4-42mm-stainless-steel-watch?variant=45677646250297 but also I'm biased because I own one and I'll admit they don't fit a lot of people because of the long lugs. -
• #77099
Yeah so that Longines is what turned me onto that style of dive watch in the first place. Fit.
