  • What are you after, HR?
Also looking for something like that.
I tried a whoop on the right, watch on the left because I like the idea of a bit more data.
Whoop is a nice thing, but the app is a bit annoying and no way my training warrants the cost and time needed.

  • The real answer is, I’m not. I’d like a little more data but not really at the expense of douvble banding - I like watches so like to chop and change. I’ve tried little fitbits, a whoop for a bit etc. I would like metrics without any digital intrusion from my phone. A dumb smart watch essentially - Whoop/Oura something like that is the obvious solution, but I also don’t want another thing to manage charging every night and put on every morning. I won’t do anything of enough value with the metrics to pay for a subscription service really - the g-shock looks fun as a potential every day wearer if it doesn’t need charging every night. Something which will give me casual health data without being too intrusive.

  • Facing this conundrum. After a few months I've kind of had enough of the charging cycle of my Apple Watch, but would still like a step count/basic health metric alongside a watch. Have considered a whoop as its somewhat discrete but the subscription cost seems ridiculous. Ugh.

  • Withings?

  • Exactly the same here. Whoop charging was ok, it's also ok to wear and fairly discrete. But paying for a thing to tell me when to go to bed, nah.
So I'll wait for implants I guess.
