  • Somehow I appear to be around 4 cm shorter than I thought I was. I was sure I was around 186cm or 6'1'' for ages. Measuring myself recently it's more like 182-184cm (6'). Am now 44. Surely middle age doesn't involve such loss in height?

I've always ridden 58cm bikes, but have been finding them too large, so kind of makes sense. Annoyingly might have swap out the frames on my bikes.

  • It'd be nice to think this works. My experience of starting yoga in middle age (a few years ago now), is that it's amazing, feels brilliant, and is really good for me physically, mentally, spiritually.

    Highly recommend it.

With regular practice, I worked out that you are your age. You can make major gains in mobility, strength, flexibility, and breathing. But you have to adapt to your age and accept you’ll never move like you were in your 20s again. You work this out pretty quickly, to be fair. Like, in the first session if you're paying attention.
