  • What do you think he should focus on?

He's too light to beat the likes of Van Der Poel and Van Aert in the cobbled classics, so he's switched focus for this season to the Ardennes classics and having a proper tilt at the GC at the Tour. I think that's the right call, as it will inform what he should focus on for the rest of his career.

  • L'Equipe is reporting they are thinking of putting a chicane at the beginning of the Arenberg trench at Paris Roubaix to slow everybody down. It's dated April 2nd.

Apparently the riders are on board with it, mainly because no-one wants to be within 10 miles of Lotto Destiny and their hookless Zipps.

  • Roglic down in Basque Country, looked dazed but been allowed to continue for now

  • not one for agreeing with kirby but does make somewhat of a joke of the concussion protocol

  • Only just saw that Tao crashed too yesterday 300 metres before the 3km mark

  • Ayuso down today as well, very crashy

  • I think this is speculative but a hot dog crit turn right before Arenberg would be incredible lol

  • Carnage incoming.

  • Hit railway line at 65 km/h unweighting the front wheel then slam on yer brakes

  • That can't actually be the plan?

  • Not sure MVdP is a fan

  • He'd say that, he's the only rider who can handle the no chicane from what we saw last week.

  • Why do they think it important to slow riders down before Arenberg? It is a major part of the drama of the race.

If it is a safety issue, this can't possibly be the solution.

  • Will this not just have riders entering the cobbles too slowly, losing momentum and slipping into the gutter?

  • It’s a safety issue, too many accidents and the organisation have decided that limiting entry speed will lessen the severity of any crash.

  • plus CPA asked for it too

  • And Lotto Destiny are riding

  • He must be on here by the looks of all the bandages, but I can't for the life of me remember his username.

  • Crikey, Roglic down again. And Vingegaard. Looks nasty. Evenepoul super lucky not to hit a tree.

  • It's the guy on his own not moving in the ditch that's concerning me the most.

  • Yeah, I clocked that. Being attended to, but looks awful.

  • Evenepoel looks like he's done his collarbone.

  • Literally just turned it on, bloody hell
