Yep I do plasma. As you said, pretty much the same but takes longer. I need to be careful to hydrate really well afterwards, but you don't get that 'bit tired' feeling like you do with whole blood. Recommended.

I tried to donate plasma a little while ago, but when I turned up they told me they needed blood just as much so since I'd not donated before, was I OK donating the usual? Anyway, since then I've earned my 25 badge (aaah-WOOF!), which is actually 26 cos the first one was so long ago it's not on the current system. Just another 25 or so to catch up with my dad...

Got a call inviting me to consider plasma donation. Anyone done it?
From what I can tell it's not much different from blood donation (albeit it takes a bit longer) and you can do it more often.
I usually do my blood donation at the NHS donation centre at Tooting hospital and they do plasma there, so no difference there.
