Hi all - my neighbours in Hither Green / Catford area had these two bikes stolen a couple of days ago. Not great pics but one is a black Cannondale with white pedals and distinctive black and white bar tape, and the other is a green Planet X with beige tape and a black Brooks saddle.

Both are gravel / commuter type bikes with disc brakes and biggish tyres, etc

Please keep an eye out for them and send us a pm if you see anything. Especially if you're in SE London - apparently they were offered to a bike shop in Lee but were turned down, so hopefully they are still in the area.

Nicely done, how did you manage to get it back?

My flatmate arranged a viewing, asked for a test ride and rode it off in to the sunset. I was at the other side of the street incase things got hairy and he needed support.

Police had agreed to meet at the same time to intervene, but were a no show - hah.

Blue C.N.C. special frame (french frame sized bits) in 531. Gone 6 months ago but...I hope.

Surely always ask for a security deposit before letting someone test ride a bike?

YES! Had a very similar situation a few years ago with a Ritchey, police turned up an hour after the action

My Girlfriend's bike was just stolen from near Farringdon. Cut through a D lock right outside her work.

It's a 2014, Focus Izalco Team SL 3.0, Dura Ace and a Rotor 3D crankset.

Posting on behalf of a friend who was burgled on Monday just gone (22nd) in E5.
Red Condor with Yellow decals, rear rack, porteur style bars.

Frustratingly I spotted a guy on the bike today on Stoke Newington High St (near Iceland).
Took chase on foot (some coppers I ran past joined in) and subsequently lost the fucker in the Smalley Road Estate.

Please chuck a lock on it and PM me if you see it locked up!
I suspect however that now he's been chased on it he may try and get rid...
Told my mate to go to Brick Lane this Sunday. Is that still a thing? Is there anywhere else that moody bikes are offered for sale in North/East?

Stolen: black Urban Arrow Family, reward offered

Taken from St. Norbert Road Brockley SE4 2EY at 7pm on tuesday 7th May. Seen riding south down Brockley Way by man in red jacket. No Battery, no head unit / controller, so top speed 6mph max.

Bike has old bit of timber bolted accross front of basket, a ratty inner tube tied to the seatbelt, and the letters Rad Ab in white on the rear mudguard. Steering pinion underneath has a bodged strap with black electrical tape and green grease. Visible damage to polystyrene basket, tear in saddle. Bike was empty and No panniers or other boxes were attached.

this thing was my living. I cant move my tools now. I am devastated. Can offer £100 for information leading to recovery.

Shit, so sorry to hear that. SE people keep eyes peeled!

Unfortunately our house got broken into, 6 bikes are stolen 2 of which are mine. Very heart breaking, reported to the police and one of our neighbours saw the culprit. Walked around and knocked around neighbours who have cctv for help, still hoping and waiting they find something. Stolen at sw8 area, will need help monitoring online selling platforms. Thank you
