planning on a cheapish, ratty (but with some low key quite nice parts) build.
I don't have much of a parts bin atm and would like to make this a mostly forum based build.
I think most bits probably need to be silver for this frame.

    So, what I'm after:

    Friction thumby
    25.8(?) seatpost
Saddle (thinking battered flite, selle San Marco Rolls, maaaaaybe brooks kind of thing)
Tyres (looking at 700c around 40-47, preferably tan wall, with a decent amount of life left, gravel kings would be ideal)
    Cantis

lmk if you've got anything suitable knocking about that you want rid of. I'm in York so would need posting.

  • At all interested in '89 Shimano Mountain LX? It's 3x7, the shifters I have wouldn't be any use to you as they're downtube, but chainset and mechs (f+r) might?

    Pics

  • I have some cheap cantis (black), and a rolls .. plus some road cranks that might suit

  • yeah, I saw that but figured you wouldn't want to split. it'll be 1x I think so would only really be interested in the cranks and RD, and I'm not sure the chainrings would be any use to you on their own?

  • updated list bump

  • Got a couple if quill stems that both seem to be 10cm reach 25.4 clamp

  • think I'm sorted for a stem now, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to have options. do you have pics/how much would you want?

  • Friction thumby, you can adapt a sturmey archer/ sunrace one from indexed to friction easily

  • Was just about to stick these unused Avid Single Digit vees in the classifieds. Pm or @ me if interested.

  • ah ok, thanks. I knew there were some that could do both, but didn't know that. had a quick Google but was probably wording it wrong. do you have a link to a guide?

  • sticking with cantis I think, thanks though

  • Got a pair of 42' Tan wall Sawtooths going spare if they're suitable? Loads of tread on them still.

  • might have a cassette, depending on what you're going for?

  • low to mid 30s I think. was planning on new or newish for drivetrain

  • I think I had it up for £5 before- sorry about the shitty picture- looks like a generic quill stem and clamps your bars
