  • Jumbo mechanics trying to give Benoot a DVB bike with a unique paint job

  • That kit and bike combo is gopping

  • Bling relegated for that dodgy sprint

  • MVDP. lol.

  • Womens race was better.

  • Eurosport on fire stick is shit. Came back from a ride and had to do the holding hand in front of face so I can only see the Km to go or the bottom of screen so I can go back and watch from where it gets spicy. It was stuck on live 50k to go and wouldn’t budge, this was after several errors and restarts.
Got right fucked off and went to the iPad where it allowed me to watch from earliest point at about 3hrs, quit that expecting to able to restart on firestick and resume from the same point. No, not possible.
I did find the ‘watch from earliest point’ menu but it does nothing.
Went back to iPad and skipped through to the cobbles/breakaways, went to answer the door and on my return it’s gone?? Selected ToFlanders again and it says watch from beginning so do that and scroll past Orla to find it stops at the point I left but will not play past it???
I’m so fucked off by this point because I also got a glimpse of a solo rider dressed in white earlier so know the inevitable.
Fuck the men’s race off and watch the women’s as the men’s is somehow now missing from the menu, at last a proper race right to the line.
    Eurosport can fuck right off.

  • Eurosport can fuck right off.

Given it works fine on other devices, my finger would be pointing squarely at Amazon for the user experience being shit (and I've heard loads of other people complaining about the same issue).

  • You are probably right, I’ll cancel the subscription via Amazon and go direct to Discovery. I have the standalone app already but it asks for my login details but there aren’t any as it’s done through Amazon account.

  • better question is, has Matthews ever sprinted straight?

  • If you do think about buying something new and gadgety, it works great on the Apple telly. The only down side of Apple TV is bbc iPlayer doesn’t do subtitles which in my house is a fucking ball ache.

  • I’m not buying anything at the mo, the subtitles would be a dealbreaker too.
The standalone app should solve tings

  • Why has the live coverage of Basque Country TT started after all the big guns have bloody ridden their runs?

Edit: apparently they got to choose when they started and they all chose early due to rain which was due later but doesn't seem to be happening

  • Pidders not even making the start and crashing out.

  • Ineos have terrible form with their best riders crashing on TT bikes when not even racing.

  • Great coverage. First, it's Carlton Kirby. Then, rather than showing recorded footage of the favourites 'as live', or even highlights without spoilers, they show the results and then let you enjoy the least interesting form of cycling ever invented, a TT where you know the result.

  • does anyone know why the spectators to the left were waving sausages on the koppenberg? https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Zrtzb3tKhbSYvFiW2x6pKS-1024-80.jpg.webp
I love the (I think) UAE rider in the background going sideways

  • The hope remains that he'll be unable to commentate on Roubaix, although in all honesty his understanding of what is actually happening in a bicycle race should lead to a stellar career in, say, competitative badger buggering. Unless Channel 4 have the rights sewn up.

The highlight was when he described MVDP as having “souplesse”.

  • Pidcock's TT mediocrity (when he isn't falling off) when everybody else on Ineos seem to take it really seriously and he is supposed to be a GC contender remains a mystery.

  • Agree. He might not have the watts of remco but he should have something close to the cda. Especially given Bigham is on the team.

  • I wish Pidcock wasn't trying to become a stage racer.

  • Which reminds anyone know what happened with Max Schachmann?

  • He's had multiple Covid infections and is working to overcome those and get back to his previous level.
