We want to gut our kitchen and replace everything. Where to start? Drawing stuff I guess?
Is anyone in the UK not a totally shit contractor when it comes to doing the work? I've heard nothing but problems with everyone who's paid people to do work.
We only have electric and I also want to improve the hot water situation - the little electric hot water heater isn't really up to snuff.
I want to get a smaller washing machine that integrates into the bottom cupboards for a cleaner look.
Also want to get top cupboards that go all the way to the roof instead of leaving dust space/clutter.
We don't have an extractor fan - I want one added, preferably venting out the existing vent hole, though this would need some ducting.
There's a cupboard where the old immersion heater stuff was that's now storage - remove or replace?
It would be cool to move the sink to under the window but that's on the other side of the kitchen - how much would it cost to move a bunch of pipes around? Probably more than I want to spend. I also want a gap above the sink so people taller than children don't bang their head while washing dishes (who designs this stuff?)
Literally no idea where to start though. Think the missus is going to draw stuff up and then we have to find someone that won't do a shit job - which seems impossible here.
