Need to double check etrto but lots of other cool 20” rims in the trials sphere.
Also bmx rims should be readily available in 32h as well
now that the pacenti man’s restock delay and sudden clydesdale have changed the course of the build slightly, there are certain questions to ponder;
it’s supposed to be a fun build anyway, but how messed will the angles be with a 400mm fork on a frame designed for a ~445mm fork? am i right assuming the oversized rear wheel will further cement the unrideability? a cargo pursuit?
how to build the front wheel? bmx rims mostly come in 36 hole count and nice second hand disc hubs don’t tend to. i’d like to have a box section ish polished silver rim to loosely match the rear. the initial research bore some fruit but nothing too spectacular. a close enough match to the pacenti (why is everything pacenti lol) pari-moto rear tyre at least has been found:
saving the 32h front hub i already have for the inevitable full 650b xc/speedster setup would be sensible. this justifies obtaining another front hub in 36h. everyone will say dynamo but i’m not sure if there’s an affordable enough sp or son in the pipeline. australian ebay has a nice nos hope bulb in silver, but australia is a touch far-fetched. i’ll keep begging on retrobike.
