The ingrish have a very very different skewered view of that.
Fuck you and your Greggs. If Greggs could do a lamb samosa, now the cheese and bean bake is no longer crisp pastry and no longer is the steak bake as good as it was. Is the filling ever more than bland?
Though Morrisons do the same level of terrible but cheaper and the deli do cheap empenadas are a bit bland. But compared to the Cornish pasty blandness

wonder who mainly rides Trek bikes on the forum
-
• #81
Didn't Trek continue to sell bikes to American Police departments when other brands refused to after the cops used them to assault BLM protestors?
-
• #82
Using Trek bikes to beat up black protestors ≠ using Shimano products to beat up fish

hey but at least they are green! Ethical Consumer says so!

Stopping cycling has done wonders for my ethical consumer rating 👍

Brake fluid isn’t very vegan/ethical/environmentally friendly so vegans should use cable brakes.
Not sure vegetable oil (non palm oils) is a good substitute due to hygroscopic/compression issues.
Tyres should be recycled as nasty men with knives cut into trees to make them bleed. -

When I read the thread title I expected something super funny... Disappointed
Edit: read everything now and it turned out funny anyways

Imagine catching birds with hooks, then just releasing them to fly away after taking a quick snap for your WhatsApp.
Feel free or not if squeamish to Google image search birds lime sticks or glue traps

I’m not sure Alfonse is right that there is a lot of the below going on here. Yeah, most of the ‘cunty’ responses are basically a shrug re: angling. But not much evidence that the op is being challenged on their preference for other wasteful and resource-heavy manufacturers of parts over one that makes money in the angling business. Or that asking the question is laughable because they may already own some Shimano (the inference of the cartoon might be something along those lines). Some pisstaking based on the sheer practical difficulty of avoiding Shimano I guess. Have you tried to run Campagnolo?!
Yeah it’s worth considering if nonviolence towards all creatures is a goal for you. Genuinely interested in what animal-free people do about working out how to avoid things like bone glues, say. I do think the expression ‘consistency journey’ is proper Birtspeak mind.

People sitting quietly on river banks, mostly not catching fish, is undoubtedly one of the most pressing moral issues we face today.
My favourite quote so far

I love that cartoon. Where from?

I think what I don't like is that the West has systematically outsourced nearly all production to the East, loopholing themselves into lower carbon emissions and the ability to keep low cost slave labour at arms length and feign ignorance. Then "conscious consumers" claim that they want to boycott China due to their unethical practices, carbon production, and "bad things happening now".
Buddy, who do you think made that happen, who continues to enable it?
Bad things continue to happen in the West every fucking day, you can't wash your hands off it.

True. Unfortunately changing that would mean people making genuine and meaningful changes to the way they live, rather than token gestures.

Can't you just only buy Shimano 1x groupsets? Then you're using 50% less gears and so cancelling out the 20% revenue margins by at least half..?

Thought that comment had slipped through the net
This seems a very elaborate way of just saying you like Campagnolo
