  • Id say the 2002ish T series had quite a sloping top tupe, so I am not surprised that the seat tube is so short.

Would be worthwhile checking if the 55 TT is the horizontal measurement or along the (sloping) tube.

My brother owns a 90s T and rides the 53 frame size being exactly 6ft

    Setup attached

  • usually wouldn't go near a 52 as too small.

It’s not a 52 though, it’s a 55. Seat tube length has no bearing on fit whatsoever on its own. It only affects how much seatpost you’ll need exposed. I had a caad12 which was like 57cm ctc and I’ve got a custom Ti frame with almost identical geometry except it has something like a 49cm seat tube. Saddle and bars are exactly the same place, same stem length etc.

  • Alright Mike Burrows, aka Phildas

  • Ah great, thanks. Lovely bike that 👍

  • Yes that's fair enough, get what you're saying. I was about to say as someone with all legs and short body I don't like loads of seatpost, but then I saw my AWOL leaning on the wall and how much seatpost there was haha

  • Oh shit. Want one. Most tempting dale in years.

  • Thought the same but i think the battery is not removable for charging so unfortunately no go for me

  • That seems like quite an odd choice! Less flexible because you need to bring the bike indoors to charge and more likely to get nicked than if the battery is removed when locked up right? Looks cool as fuck though.

  • canondale “designs” bikes purely on vibes

its also what its demographic deserves

  • Ah yeah, impractical as fuck but I still want to ride it.

  • Yup, except you got charging options in your bike storage :-(

Went for an orbea katu instead

  • Been really enjoying my tutti-frutti caad12. Was looking at some newer carbon options last year and this popped up locally, don't regret it at all — on the contrary, made me stop thinking about overpriced bikes. Only thing I wish it had is thru axles, but whatever.

  • thru axles, schmu axles.
    that's cool.

  • Great colour scheme. I really like the traditional geometry on the CAAD 12.
It is a pity that Cannondale changed the design for the CAAD13. Still, the later has excellent reviews - what do I know?

  • That’s sweet. Did you buy coloured decals?

  • I cut them by hand, shapes are large enough that's easy(ish) to do with a bit of baking paper transfer.

  • Now keeping that black one, but if you change your mind there's its more affordable silver cousin available now...

  • Thought I'd finally post my CAAD 13 Disc. Have previously had a 12 which I loved.

It's bang on 7kg as pictured. I've had the frame since new and it's been built into so many different guises over the years.

Basically completed but would like to change brakes for Hope RX4's in the future, those speed release axles for some Robert Axle project ones and try a direct mount hanger.

Just changed the BB30 bearings for some NTN ones which are super smooth compared to the stock ones which I removed.

Many parts are from the forum including the stem, bars, cages and the waxed chain.

BTW I know the cables are a bit long! When I next have some time that's my next job...

  • nice bieks. Am slowly coming round to the caad13 but I wished they’d done better paint schemes and kept a big fat logo on the downtube.

    ^7kg is impressive.

  • I wouldn’t bother with the Hope brakes, no benefit in my experience and lots of negatives!

  • Interesting. I hadn't got them yet as had read so much conflicting info about them so wanted to do some more research about them. Did have a chat with the guys at Seabass the other day who were positive about them but they do stock them...

Was going to wait until the winter anyway as had just serviced the Ultegra brakes currently fitted so they're working very nicely.

  • Got this frame & fork for £45, groupset off @Po eBay chainset, parts bin everything else. Riding it more than anything else at the moment.
