With a special Easter message to Tory MP Jonathan Gullis:Given the multiple bits of embarrassing personal information we have on you, I suggest you pipe down on your attacks against me.

I thought the point made was clear; when Clough got the biggest job of his career, he fucked it up and got the sack. To this point, there is a clear similarity with Truss.
However, after Leeds, Clough took Forest to the very top, showing that his time at Leeds was a temporary aberration. Truss is no Brian Clough, so do we expect her to return and lead the Tories to new heights? She genuinely believes that, we don't.

Does that mean we'll see her half cut at Tory conference swinging at her own supporters?

Are we in a situation whereby if the gammons are all voting tactically in an attempt to get reform in that they manage to cancel out the tories and we end up with labour with snp opposition?
Maybe I’m talking out my arse but was pondering aloud last night and it struck me that might actually be possible?

98 is way too many conservatives. If you were in the ocean with 98 sharks you’d be concerned.
-
• #7347
98 might even be on the high side - polls tend to underestimate the potential effects of tactical voting, which is going to be a strong factor this time round.
So more LDs, fewer T*ries. With any luck.

Clough deliberately sought to antagonise and dismantle a team, Truss had no idea she was dismantling an economy

She doesn't even seem to have the self-awareness to fade away. It's odd.

Sadly I can see that with that large a majority the Labour party will soon tear itself into shreds during the first few years of Govnerment. They'll be safe for the 5 years though, but I'd fear for 2029/30 GE.
An odd article.
Brian Clough was an accomplished footballer whose career was ended by injury and the limits of sports medicine of his day.
He then proved with to be a successful manager before his move to Leeds, and even more successful after he left Leeds.
Liz Truss is a political nonentity, with no great legislation to her name, and no noticeable political achievements.
