I think you'll have to take the paint off and see for yourself. I'd also try if a sharp object (pick, etc.) goes right through that rust spot or if the metal is still sound. Post a picture of what it looks like with the paint removed. :-)

Something has fallen or hit that for it to go that way. Just keep an eye on it and make sure rust doesn’t form

On a scale of 1 to completely fucked how bad would you say this dent forming where the lug meets the frame is… hadn’t noticed it till recently on the wife’s bike, she’s not crashed it or anything recently
