Overheard at the LFGSS golf club bar

Self-referral to GC here. I went to see some friends in Cornwall last weekend. The plan was for the wives to do some sewing class they had organised, two of the husbands to play golf and me to head off to Bodmin Moor on my gravel bike.

However on Saturday the weather was even worse down there than here in that London and so I binned the gravel ride and the other two binned the 18 holes and said lets go to the driving range instead as at least there was a bit of shelter and then have a cooked breakfast in the clubhouse.

Even more GC was that we rocked up to the course in my mates Range Rover Evoque. That is peak GC right there.

So there I was on the driving range hitting a few balls. Considering I haven't hacked my way around a GC since the late 90's the other two were gutted when I was the first one to chip the ball to land in the 50 yard catch net or whatever it's called.

Fortunately the weather improved and I was able to get out on the bike the next day as they headed back for a round.

I feel dirty.
