He posted a video clarification that the reason he was wearing Nike shoes at his anti-Nike protest (he helpfully showed all his Nike shoes for context) was that they were old Nike shoes he'd had for years so he was only talking about not buying future Nike shoes whilst wearing currently existing Nike shoes.
