Haven’t been able to find my everyday knife for a while now(it’ll turn up, it always does) but found my opinel again instead.
Was given this when I joined the Cubs so guess I’ve had it about 30yrs. I have no idea when I reshaped the handle or how it got singed but feels good in the hand. It’s a No.6 so pretty small but I’m sure as a kid it would have been full sized to me.
The blade is pretty thin as it used to get sharpened on an old oil stone.
It’s prepped game, been my trusty work knife for nearly my whole adult life and now going to live in the shed at the allotment where it will continue to be mistreated and still perform flawlessly. Might drill the handle and put a bright cord on it as I’ll definitely lose it in the mud.
Might treat myself to a new one.
