I'm looking to get a Reel to reel Tape machine repaired, does anyone know of a company or individual who can be trusted to send it to? There's a couple of places I've found online who simply do not respond- and there are indications they are no longer in business.
Do you know what's up with it? I did an art project at uni involving reel to reel tape players and they were really easy to fix once you worked out what was broken. I'm terrible at stuff like that as well.
Stick the model/brand into youtube and look for repair videos. It'll be belts, lube, clutches or capacitors, in increasing order of difficulty DIY fixing.
There are so few still in use that you'll have a hard time finding anyone professional to look at it.

Thanks!
