I don't mind it for the most part but I've not been able to set it up where I don't get terrible right thumb pain after a long ride. I borrowed a friend's AXS and I think that makes sense for an upgrade, especially since my frame isn't Di2 compatible. It also means if I stick aerobars on for TD or something similar I can use the extra buttons pretty easily. You just have to carry 100 spare batteries. Their charger is Micro USB rather than USB-C which kinda sucks too but better that than a thumb that doesn't work after a day.

I don't like mechanical XT on my MTB so I'm getting AXS to save my thumb. Shimano have let me down with MTB Di2.
