Brief thread resurrection/hijack here - anyone tried the oven cleaner trick? I scratched up my seat post. Have now sanded and polished out the scratches, but it's a toss up as to whether it looks better or worse now. It would be ok if I could re-anodise the polished bit. Pure vanity I know but it's really annoying me...

Star Finishers in Crayford did a couple of rims for me a year or so ago, excellent job and quick turnaround....weren't that expensive and no minimum charge!

I use a company in England, they are very professional and their quality is very good. They also know a lot about the finish and can pretty much answer any question you may have.

Do some samples, keep a log and post it up here. I'm sure there would be plenty of interest if you can do it effectively. I for one would be keen, but only if it's black.
