I don’t understand anything.
I think I want to remove my lawn and just have gravel and lots of plants.

Sounds like a good idea. Lawns are an abomination.

I love that gravel with plants look, and it's so much easier to maintain.

Every person and business I've seen that has that either lets it go to weeds or has to regularly dose it with pesticides to keep down the volunteers.
