I've got the hub gear version of this. Likewise converted to flat bar with slight sweep and works much better that way IME. The stock cable brakes seem to be awful, so can see myself upgrading at some point.

Nice! I built an older, steel Day One with a disc fork a few months ago. It's similar to what it sounds like you're going for (Genesis with flat bars, hydros, mudguards, big tyres) and I love it. Crap photo but here it is.

i got mine on FB marketplace for £260 and the thing is basically brand new. Almost felt bad taking it off the guy.

what are those wee triangle fixings on the rack/fork? The rack I have doesn't fit the eyelets on my fork (although not a million miles off either. A set of those could fix it nicely.

They come with a specialized pizza rack, which that is, not sure they're sold separately

Not has good has my Grand Bois but it's a good compromise for the price I afford theme

as per lemonade's post, theyre inc the pizza rack. If you have a did on the dig on the SJS rack spare section there is normally something handy.

Thanks, I'm really enjoying it! It was meant to be a shit box that I didn't mind locking up around town but it ended up with some inappropriately nice bits (stupid converted DA cranks, ti post, hand made M_V stem) and I like it so much that I'd hate for it to get nicked. Needless to say, I'm working on a new, shitter bike to fill that role.
It's got 700x38c in there. Could go miles bigger at the front with the Brother (I think) gravel fork. Might be able to squeeze a 40c in without the guards at the back.

Does anybody know what color this frame is or how i could find out?
