I've a friend over here that has interviewed Keir Starmer quite extensively and he thinks the same. I hope so, but I don't see it. KS appears thin-skinned and has treated even the moderate left of the party as electoral kryptonite. The idea that he is going to volte face, once he's prime minister and subject to the full, withering scrutiny of the Mandelson wing and the near entirety of the UK media seems fanciful. Imagine perhaps, the Biden administration without the trillion $ recovery plan, or the cancelling of student debt. Doesn't sounds good....

Interesting from Owen Jones. I have to say I'm one of those thinking that Labour is doing a Clark Kent, and will unveil its hidden progressive Superman upon assuming office but I'm hearing more and more people that sound like Jones, and Tories on TV saying their best chance of winning seats is to point out how similar both main parties actually are.
