when you say clamping method do you mean crimping?
I can't see this failing but this is my own bike so if it does I will know!
yeah that's what I meant. A local frame builder did this on a frame that later broke on the seat tube but I've not the technical background to know why honestly, maybe he was unlucky and it's a common practice
