I have an Astrix Union Frame that I was going to build up, not a BMX but DJ/4X type thing.

What size wheels does that take @scotts?
My 29er is too big and clumsy for my local pump tracks- which I think are suited for 20” bmx wheels. Maybe a 24” cruiser.I’m too old to be learning jumps. So don’t need anything fancy - just something that fits so I can pump round and have fun whilst my son laps me and does massive jumps!

I have an s&m RV frame - from the 2006/7 era. It's a 24" cruiser frame

It has adjustable dropouts so can take 24/26 inch wheels.

Astrix union looks fun - but I don’t have the time/space/budget/(&knowledge!) to build up a 24” bmx cruiser I’m afraid. Unless you were wanting to get rid of 24” wheels, fork and parts too?!

Plenty of 24" forks and wheels available. And as for building up - the hardest part (which isn't really hard at all is getting the right bottom bracket for the axle/cranks you want to run :)

If you want a cheap complete bike, just get an old 26er mtb and put some gravel/semi-slicks on it.

something like this would work well
i'm 6ft and have been riding one of these for years. it's a great bike and fun too. strong 4130 steel frame with a nice feel to it.
it's just a grown up bmx, probably similar dimensions to a young kid on a bmx
I’d like to join my son going round the pump / bmx tracks in south London. Looks fun. I’m 6ft so probably need a pro xxl size. Don’t need anything fancy, but ideally a race bmx rather than a freestyle bmx (I’m not going to be doing tricks and want to try and keep up with him!)
Anything out there?
Thanks!
