  • I've got the Samsung Freestyle too. It's not much bigger than a water bottle and can be powered by a USB power bank or charger. Has iplayer, prime, plex, and all the rest built-in so rarely need to plug anything in (which is good as I can nver find the right hdmi cable). Needs to be darkish to work but not really dark.

It's a really convenient option if you've got a fair few white walls and want something to quickly set up (my GF uses it whilst doing the ironing for instance) in different places in a couple of minutes. It's not necessarily something for a cinema experience (although it can do a decent quality 100" picture in a dark room).

UI is a bit annoying though. Auto keystone and focus are often a little bit off. It bugs me and I have to piss about with settings (only a minute or two) to fix it, my GF doesn't tend to care. Can never quite remember where things are and it seems to always want to start with some shitty Samsung channel.

RRP for them is outrageous but there are lots of second hand deals. Think I paid £250 or something for mine.
