  • Falling off my bike innit?!
Much better, but a lot of work still and a lot behind me. 8 weeks of intensive rehab, now onto 4 months of intensive physio. Got unlucky with my radial head, unfortunately.

(Plucked from the internet but very similar)

Great turnout! And yes, the weather is working it's charms too!

  • Shit. That sounds very painful, and annoying indeed!

  • Hi everyone, very happy to discover this thread! Is anyone planning to go to VeloBerlin this weekend?

  • Anyone up for pizza gravel this thursday?

  • I won't be able to make Thursday but would love to be in the loop somehow about future rides.

  • Stadtgenossen!
Took next Friday off for Himmelfahrt and want to take a long weekends bike packing camping tour from Berlin on presumably my Kona Unit.
Still not 100% fit, arm and leg wise so relatively easy, max. 80km day, say, 3/4 days. Could be a loop, could be a short train ride out/in.
Still have Sacrow on my list so thinking of going south west.
Any leads on good routes or destinations?

  • Actually thinking about it, if anyone of you internet strangers or strange not so strangers likes to join, could make it a forum chapter thingy!

Bumping this on the off chance

  • Would love to. Now I'm temporarily jobless I have some time on my hands. Sadly not this weekend

  • Hi three of us are attending the funeral of the fourth of us in our group of friends who tragically died a week ago. We have been looking for central places to stay tuesday and, for two of us, wednesday night: 3/4 bed dorms and so forth. Anyone have any suggestions please? money is really tight, flights were insanely expensive

  • Sorry I can't think of anywhere. I imagine there must be some cheaper hostels if you don't stay so central

  • Here are some sites that have cheap stuff--NB Disclaimer: I haven't used any of them, they may be iffy, you get what you pay for, etc. Actual Berliners may be able to help further, I just entered search terms.

    Hope some of it helps.

  • Sorry to hear this.
Just saw the post so guess you already booked something, but https://www.36rooms.com/ is in a good location, but no idea if it's good, looks ok and has 3 bed dorms.

  • pizzagravel.org will be updated with startpoint etc. its getting much busier now so we're trying to get a little more organised as we have to start booking/ringing ahead to pizza places. rides are pushing 40 peeps now the sun is out. I am not there for a few weeks but should be back leading some rides end of june

  • Oh wow that's cool. Sounding like a bridges ride from old days. Will go check out the website. Cheers

  • Also if anyone is interested, with a forum discount, I have a spare ticket for NOFX, Pennywise, Descendents and others at the Zitadelle on 8th June. Let me know!

  • Yeah, maybe a bit longer than the bridges sometimes tho. Today the meeting point is at skalitzer park, there is a Rückenwind event there too so I think it will be clear where to turn up. 18:30 to ride at 19:00. I won’t be there but people are welcoming.

  • Next time for sure. In Hamburg currently for a baseball Pfingsturnier

  • Anyone in these NOFX tickets? 70€ forum price

  • Will be my first PG back after surgery this thursday, will drop the start point here as soon as its confirmed if anyone is keen?

  • Before shoving it all on Kleinanzeigen, I'm clearing out some bits - mostly bought on the forum, and can be passed on to forum-ers for forum-friendly prices of course. If there's any interest, I can hopefully share pics later this week but feel free to DM me with any questions/interest. Ideally all pick-up in Neukolln.

    1. Surly Cross Check F+F 52-54cm (need to double check) + Cane Creek headset
    2. Paul Donohue road F+F 51cm + Campagnolo headset
    3. Cobra vintage TT F+F 44cm + generic headset
    4. Campagnolo Chorus full groupset (10s)
    5. Shimano 105 groupset (minus cranks) (10s)
    6. Syncros carbon road wheelset (10,11s), I think 30mm deep?

Also parting ways with some Mackie studio monitors, and some guitar pedals - will check what I have and update if there's any interest.

    There may be more bits

  • Might be interested in the chorus groupset..will pm

  • @sergioldn Is it one of the newer cross check forks with the rack mounts?

  • I'm not sure tbh - bought from the forum here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/364112/

Bought as a project for my ex, sprayed with Spray.Bike in 'Salmon Lane' and then left in a storage unit for the last 2 years, unused since I bought it

Can take measurements and pics by end of the week
