Is the rear 142x12 or 148x12 ?

148x12. I should have the spacers and such that come with the hunt wheels lying around so can include those in the sale as well, if that matters.

Right, just stripped it down to clean it all up and take pics of the wear. After looking at it closer I'm going to drop a few more quid off it to represent the condition of the paint. And, the BB (the one with 20 miles on it...) feels a little rough already.
I'm trying not to paint a picture that it's fucked, far far from it. Just trying to be honest about the condition as I can appreciate it's a lot of money for someone to part with. This bike is GOOD.
Pics of cable rub attached.

Dropped my car off at the garage this morning and just had THE PHONE CALL. So this now needs to go with far more urgency than previously thought. Hefty price drop. But bloody hell I can't let it go for less than this.

This is v nice, how tall are you?

Cheers. I'm 6'3, hence the yard of seatpost sticking out.

Do you know which generation the frame is? And is the seatpost diameter 27.2?
-

I'm fairly certain it's the Gen 3 - it doesn't have the integrated seat clamp that the Gen 2 does. 31.6 seatpost. - https://www.cotic.co.uk/product/solarisMAX3#midnight-blue

Thanks pal, have passed it on to a friend. I'm tempted myself if they don't want it.

Out of curiosity how did you find the reach on this? Im about 6'2 short inseam all torso, not really up to date with the long slack mtb geo but been looking at solaris max's

I'm kind of the opposite of you. I'm 6'3 but built like Mr Tickle - super limbsy. And, this was my first MTB after riding road and gravel, so hard for me to make comparisons to anything. The reach was fine though, like I say I can't make comparisons but can't say I ever really noticed the 'extreme' geometry that it's supposed to have. Apologies, don't feel like I've actually been any help.

Hah no worries, thanks, probs need to try one in person. Most people coming from mtb seem to find the reach on these huge but whenever I go on a slack mtb they feel super short being more used to road and my dated XC.
Change of circumstance and a desire to simplify the number of bikes I have means I'm letting my Cotic SolarisMax go.
It's an XL and has exactly 335.2 miles on it according to Strava. I built it up to use as a gravel bike for the shit quality bridleways around me, hence the rigid forks and seatpost. But, with some spenny on there it'll be a proper mountain bike no worries.
The build:
Frame - Cotic SolarisMax XL
Forks - Selcof carbon
Headset - Hope
Drivetrain - Sram GX shifter and rear mech, NX chainset (BB has about 20 miles on it)
Sram Guide RS brakes (just had a lever service, feel and work beautiful)
Wheels - Hunt Trail Wide
Tyres - Racing Ray and Racing Ralph 2.35 (rear has got a plug or two in it, but holds air just fine. Topped the sealant up literally last night.)
Nukeproof stem, generic Norco bars (780 I think), Thompson seatpost, Bontrager saddle, reyt chunky ODI grips
(no pedals or bottle cage with sale)
Will also come with
XD freehub (never used, I got all kinds of turned around when building it up)
The spare spokes that come with the hunt wheels
2 x Vittoria Terrano Dry 2.25 (just picked these up hardly used off ebay for when summer rolled around, but no use to me now)
The good - it's rock solid, only used for a few hundred miles and most of those for gravel. Really adaptable frameset. Generally a very nice bike.
The bad - there are a few marks, mainly cable rub. I never got around to putting frame protection on and have just been using electric tape and stickers to patch up where cable rub has appeared. Nothing dramatic, but also not 'perfect'.
The pic is from when it was first built, will get some shots of the marks and such tonight when back from work.
Asking for what I think is a very reasonable
£1000£850 (+£40 postage, although collection in or around Wakefield welcome).1 Attachment
