• They have also updated the cable routing on the headtube. This causes the cables/hoses to rub on the carbon steerer and cause it to fail. I’ve seen this first hand and it’s scary that these are in production.

    Doesn't seem like a real big deal; just put some suitable tape on the steerer where the hoses rub. Aluminium tape, maybe?

  • My friend applied two layers of gorilla tape where the cables meet the steerer. He checked after 2 months and it had worn through the tape and a portion of the carbon steerer. Never heard of aluminium tape but that sounds like it could help.

    It’s a dangerous and dumb design and they should be called out on it.
