Yeah easy is easy otherwise it's just periodisation. Running is the hardest of the 3 disciplines on body so upping you running will ruin what's meant to be an easy week. It might help your running abit that week but it won't set you up well for next 3-4 block week block you've got planned. Taking the easy weeks easy when scheduled is much better than being forced to take an unscheduled break a week or two into a build because your still hammered from the last one
When you have an easy week on the bike do you also have an easy week on run, or do you use the easy bike week to up the running, do a longer run etc?
I have a fixed amount of time so one way to get more run volume is increase it on the easy bike weeks.
