I’ve just stripped my gravel bike rear hub after about 4 months use to find some knackered bearings.
It’s a Novatec hub which seems poorly sealed, I can sort this out a bit but would stainless bearings be a good idea? (6001)

Stay with stainless. A poorly sealed hub will let grit in, eventually destroying ceramic bearings if that’s what you’re thinking.

No, just get branded (SKF, FAG, NSK etc.) regular steel 6001-2RS. Stainless doesn't have the load rating or durability of regular steel, and your problem is wear, not corrosion.

Did they have seals either side?

The non-drive seal was smaller than the groove it sits in, don’t know if it always was or the last few months of riding through gunk have worn it.
There is paint missing and roughness on the edges of the groove.

Does anyone know if the formula 1 thread has been hidden due to recent events? Can't seem to find it.

I searched for 'F1'. Big night out last night, was it?

Night? It's still going. Thank you :)

If a light fixture has:
Operating Current 8A
Operating Voltage (Power Supply) 100V~240V, 50Hz/60HzI presumably can't run two of them from a single extension reel which all seem to be 13a?
So assuming 2 x reels, could I run both from a single two gang socket? Presume each individual socket will have a fuse?

Where is the 8A? The wide input voltage range on the PSU suggests it's a switched mode power supply proving low voltage to the fixture. 8A at 240V would be nearly 2kW, which is a lot of light.

The fuses are in the plugs, typically (but not universally) a two-gang socket will be connected to a ring main protected by a 30A or 32A fuse or circuit breaker

I want to run a couple of these outside through a window looking in. Plugged into mains at the location (which has various 13amp sockets):

Click the Specs tab and it reveals the 8A. -

Thanks - that's helpful. So if nothing else I should be able to run 2 comfortably on separate cables to the same two-gang socket. Would still prefer a single drum so I don't have to buy 2 / takes up more space in the vehicle but win some lose some.

That's 8A at whatever the forward voltage of the LED array is. Total power consumption is <720W, so the mains power supply is going to pull about 3A at 240V

Is there an idiots guide to this anywhere so I can pretend I understand a bit more? A quick skim suggests forward voltage is what it takes to kick it into life vs what is actually being drawn and used but that's probably wrong.
Edit; found this saying that LEDs etc don't follow ohms law etc https://lednique.com/current-voltage-relationships/iv-curves/
But this seems less an idiots guide and more a fairly capable person's guide.

Yes, it's called A level physics. You don't really need to understand LEDs (or any other mechanism for turning electricity into light) if you're just a user, you just need to be able to read and understand the rating labels on black boxes.

Bugger.

Single serve full fat milkshakes - what are my options ? Annoyingly they tend to be 2% or skimmed.
As a recovery drink post exercise for someone who doesn’t like recovery shakes.
Ta.

Frij? Hard to go wrong with plain old milk or chocolate milk tbh, full fat or not. All the hydration you need along with carbohydrate, vitamins and protein.

LEDs have a fairly narrow voltage range below which they won’t light and above which they won’t light ever again, so the difference doesn’t matter.
For anything white 3V is a reasonable rule of thumb, but bright lights tend to put many diodes in series, which isn’t mentioned in the specs.

Frij?
11g sugar per 100ml, mostly skimmed milk. Not good.
I've read the nutrition labels on any number of packaged shakes, and they're all as bad as one another. I have a feeling it's just not viable to package a full fat shake with no added sugar, partly for chemistry reasons and I suspect mostly because the market has been conned into favouring high sugar/low fat drinks and would resist anything else. If you want something nice and healthy, you're stuck with flavouring fresh whole milk at home.

I see the words but can't do anything meaningful with them.
I'm planning to order 1 of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08HZ7QYBK
Should I order 2? -
