I know lots of people already know about it and I'm a bit late to it, but I've really, really, been enjoying The Rest is History. Absolutely smashed through the Aztecs.

Two part Origin Story on Eugenics was fascinating.
I was aware Scandinavians were really into it and running active programs into the 70s. But had no idea how prevalent it was in the US, and how important US eugenics was in influencing the Nazis.

If anyone hasn't listened to S-Town, you should: it is hilarious, terrifying and very sad in equal measure.

Thanks for mentioning this. Never listened to the podcast before, currently 2 episodes in to the Aztec series and enjoying it a lot.

^glad you enjoyed it. I've been loving the JFK ones.
I now use Spotify for my podcasts. My dad has an iPhone. If I want to share a podcast series that will just work and open on an iPhone without any faff or asking him questions, what's the best way to do it?
Cheers.

Best podcast series I've listened to for a bit. FT investigation into a European drug super cartel including money laundering, sports washing, a seamlessly random murder and state sponsored assassinations - all the good stuff!
Series 1 of the same podcast series was also good about the industry of porn and who censors what is published.

There should be a word for the tendency for all podcasts to eventually turn into.... just being podcasts. Qanon Anonymous for example, they used to be good, but these days the ratio of actual content to shite American banter makes me cringe.

I'm re listening to the untold: Daniel Morgan podcast which is equally fascinating and terrifying. Corruption in the met + press.

This is so true. I think so many good podcasts burnout because the frequency of episodes is way too high. They are made by humans and there are only so many things people can say until they start repeating themselves and end up spiralling into a feedback loop. Add to this they all seem to share from the same pool of guests and the effect is multiplied across the whole space.

Really enjoying The Belgrano Diary which looks at the sinking of the Belgrano in the Falklands War...definitely more a look at the wider picture rather than a boy's own Gotcha coverage
