  • Where are you to have bodegas?

  • OK, my GF is from NYC so it's just a turn of phrase I've picked up! Apologies. Corner shops!

  • Sainsbury also have the same flavour in this variety. Big fan.

  • These got inhaled pretty quickly

  • My local SE vendor has assembled an impressive global Lays portfolio. These are Polish and South African.

  • I had that mushroom flavour when I went to Russia in 2011. Its so surreal having the flavour of Heinz cream of mushroom soup and the texture of a crisp.

What is the shop out of interest? Will travel for rare crisps.

  • Does it say

    Creamy • forest
    mushroom

To try to make it clearer it doesn't contain creamy forest though? 🤔

BAYKA FOOD CENTRE, 278 Norwood Rd, Norwood, London SE27 9AJ

    Also has Takis

  • Yeah the cornershop by Blackhorse Rd station has them. You’re right, def burn your face off before you finish the bag.

Yet to try the ones that are supposed to turn your tongue blue, not sure of the appeal there…

  • Only 5 minutes from my house. Potato based result!

It was 13 years ago, but I distinctly recall mushroom and creamy but not forest. False advertising!

My weight loss efforts rue this being local to me!

  • Thanks for the tip, will go and investigate and see what else they do as my Mrs loves those mushroom ones. Have you been to Mega Saver in Penge? It’s a crisp emporium along with a huge range of world foods at decent prices. I go and stock up every couple of weeks.
They do those nice San Carlo Italian crisps there, Lime and pink pepper which pair perfectly with a G’n T.

  • Almost god tier

  • Anyone tried these? I’m a fan of the spread but couldn’t bring myself to spend four quid on a bag.

  • how the living fuk did they manage to obtain the rights to print English heritage ident on crisps , do bet they're fishy nice thou

  • if hand crafted = every one of them had been folded over I'd buy it , but I'd safely assume no hands have have had contact with any finished crisps
Edit - it doesn't say hand crafted/ I've just been piss at the whole hand cooked thing for a while now

  • From their website:

We have launched with a delicious range of potato crisps, but it is just the beginning … we will be exploring the history of the British Pub snack over the last 2000 years

  • I usually get those from the kiosk at Richmond station if I go to Kew Gardens

  • Mrs beeton only goes back 160 years

  • I’m not touching anything with that name thank you very much. 🤢

  • Anyone tried these? I’m a fan of the spread

I like all of them on spread thickly on wholemeal toast, but always ponder when sat in my leather wingback chair in silk dressing gown and velvet slippers whether it is for all Gentlemen, or one Gentleman in particular.
