Sums up most of my US Hip Hop shows here. Lord Finesse will forever be my hero for starting his 2 hour set with a ridiculing of US rappers moaning about UK weather/food/flights/air/people...

KRS One is my yard stick, he absolutely mashed the place up for two hours when I saw him a few years ago.

If you’re as old as me you’d remember PE and the Beastie Boys in Brixton. That was how to put on a show.

Not as old school but I saw the beastie boys on the hello nasty tour at Wembley arena. Best stadium show I ever went to bar none. Tore the place up for two solid hours, worked the crowd, made the most of mix master Mike, got the guitars out and did some of their more punk stuff as well. Good times.

Every bling stereotype you can think of but it’s got a vibe, I came across it when NC State ran out to it during the college basketball last weekend

Thanks for the heads up, excited for this! NaS is Like is an all time classic/personal favourite.
It's probably been posted before, but DJ Premier has a really in-depth YouTube series detailing the stories behind his music. He's a humble and charismatic guy:
