It's a shame the smiley is covered up, only to be revealed during re-cabling. Perhaps knowing it's there is enough though.
The shape is very neat though. Is it a new invention as far as you know, or have similar cable guides been seen before?

While we are at mega cute bike thingies. I've started a cad model of a 16" wheeled folder for my wife and her future train commutes.
It's gonna have Happyman cable guides all over obvs.Still very early sketches. Gotta figure out desired trail and cool folding mechanisms I can fabricate myself with the tools and materials available to me.

Extremely interested to see where you go with this. I have had precisely the same folding concept in my imagination for a while. I figured that fabrication of the hinges would be the hardest part. Keep us posted on the developments!

Mentioned it a couple of pages back, but basically Kirstine got her dream job at a studio on Amager and we are probably going to move come August. There are still some things which might postpone it but it is looking increasingly likely that it will happen.

They exist but they're very agricultural, not nearly as pretty.

Sorry, I must have missed that. Sounds amazing.

NICE!
I have been revisiting your not a folder AWOL of late. Still so well thought out and giving me so many ideas. -

so cool! Seems a great opportunity to make another Hulsroy's very own pipe crankset

I have been working on a grown up version but it is simply too much money for one offs.

Further cad development of the 16" folder concept.
I think I'll try and make this hinge using a barrel nut and threaded machine handle and maybe some locating pins. The hinge will be slotted so the handle can be quick released.
I am lacking some vocabulary here making finding alternative clamping solutions difficult.I'd like to make a hinge that uses accessible standard hardware and which can be laser cut from flat plate steel.
But other suggestions are welcome.

Very cool. Maybe you could tuck the handlebar more into the bike by putting the hinge under an angle?
Love these so much
