Going to Mr Bungle, but a bit bemused that Mike Patton cancelled the last Faith No More tour due to his mental state not being fit for touring, but is touring with Bungle.

He lost faith but can bungle through.

Are you coming down for HoF? I am going too!

Slift were real good. Forgot the size of Camden Electric so was further back than I’d have liked to have been but just lost a bit of crowd energy to that rather than any sound issues.

Got Leprous on Friday, should be good, missed Tesseract last week sadly due to illness :(

Didn’t even realise TesseracT had been playing. Would have quite liked to have seen them.

Caught Fever Ray last night in Bristol
Top show, properly intimidating stage personas.
They did the hits and the newer stuff made a lot more sense live.Twin Keytar attack!

Brixton reopening is good news (even if some people don't like the venue, we've lost too many over the years). Can't see there being any risk of deadly crushes at a Nirvana tribute act.
Saw Bunnymen at the weekend. Ian McCullough started pretty merry and got progressively drunker as the performance ensued. Luckily, it only seemed to affect his between-song banter and the performance was otherwise decent. My mate saw him solo a few years ago, when he was so pissed he forgot and gave up on 6 of his songs, so this was pretty much a win.

I’m still going through the show in my head. I’d just got back from holiday, I was close to just sacking it off. So glad I saw it.

Electric fucking Ballroom ffs...
Went down to Brighton for the Vaselines last night - was quite fun, about as good as you could expect from a band who really one had one album.

I went to the ballroom recently for the Slift gig and it was better than I remembered, but the last time there was probably over 20 yrs ago.
Only seen Shellac once at the Underworld, around the time of At action park.
L7 have a gig at the ballroom but it's already sold out.

My band (the embers) are putting on a gig at the wonderful Ivy House in Brockley/Nunhead on 20th June. We're folky Americana and supported by the wonderful Rob Corcoran who's always worth seeing. Would be lovely to see some bikes parked outside ❤️

Brockley/Nunhead
It's definitely Nunhead. :)
Make sure you get Rob to do some whistling. He's an excellent whistler.

It IS Nuhead. Nunhead Heights as we call it on this side of the cemetery. That is a mere 2 minutes walk from mine so no bike from me. But there is a good bike rack out front of the Ivy House. This American will judge the level of your Americana.

Saw the Ryuichi Sakamoto film Opus tonight. Very beautiful, would recommend if you are a fan of his or even if you just like listening to piano.
High on Fire, Mr Bungle & Body Count announced on the same day the other week... get all those and there's still enough money for a beer or two over the pearl jam gig.
Masters of the Riff in hackney this weekend
