was looking at 20mm
That will stop .22LR but probably nothing larger. 5mm in a jury rigged frame is enough at 50cm×75cm. Search for acrylic, it will be cheaper than Perspex® or polycarbonate. I priced up sheets about twice that area a while ago and was looking at about £30 IIRC, I have the shop bookmarked, I'll add it when I get home.
Anyone know anything about perspex or similar hard clear, non shattery materials? Director wants to film something being painted onto some kind of clear sheet looking through from the other side.
The sheet will need to be about 50cmx75cm - potentially a bit smaller. How thick does it need to be for stiffness? 5mm ok?
Don't want to spend a fortune for one shot ideally - was looking at 20mm and was quoted 300 quid.
We'd planned to mount from one side in a clamp but could always build a simple frame around it to support the edges I guess - minimal faff better though. A little flex is fine but flapping around like a flapper, less so.
