You'd hope that there's some sort of mortality / behaviour clause in the contract, that would enable an incoming government to nix the arrangement, and carve the whole lot out without a protracted, expensive and leaky migration.
But there won't be, and 80m insurance records will find themselves wrapped up as a nice gift to a US health insurer.
This is a massive miscalculation on Hesters part too. If he kept his head down and 9 of the 10mil in the bank, then I think it's likely that his contracts would have continued into the Lab gov. Data collection systems on that scale are risky to change and the outcome of issues in a clinical setting can be severe.
He's made himself a target by being a cunt and makeing huge donations to a political party. This risks his cash cow.
