Also a contender for Epic WTF.
Also had cloned number plates. Guess put up to it by an adult.

Stunning moment from this morning’s meeting of the Winnipeg Police

Maybe not.
I drove tractors when I was 12...but then I was on a farm and pretty useless at other stuff. Apart from feeding animals.

Such a tragic and sad story. And to read the home office gloating tweeted JUSTIC is a travesty.

So 1/5 of adults are economically inactive.
Seems written to match a narrative given it includes ages 16-64 and successive governments have pushed young people to stay in education to 21 which is about 1/8th of the age range.

I caught the tail end of this story on R4.
The figures for sub 24(?) yo are much more extreme, and more data should come out next week to allow futher analysis on why the figs for the youngest are so much higher.

A Chinese airline warned passengers not to throw coins into plane engines after an Airbus A350 was delayed for 4 hours
In 2019, Chinese airline Lucky Air sued a passenger for $21,000 for throwing two coins into a plane's engine, which he said was for good luck.

Health and safety gone mad!

I can understand someone doing that with a Boeing, but Airbus are pretty safe.

16-64
16-21, students
50-64, those fortunate enough to be retired (who works when there's no need?)And then of course you have people working who are not PAYE and also don't let the taxman know that they're working.
Bizarre article - feels aimed at Benefits Scroungers

Yep pretty much though I'd be surprised if the retired lower age was much below 55.
That's my personal target . Kids should be gone, mortgage paid and this pension with 30 years service.

Kids should be gone
Hahahaha. Good one.

• #86768
My kids have two options. Take the money I've saved and leave, or pay rent and I keep the savings.
-
• #86769
One alternative is downsizing so they don't have anywhere to stay. Also frees up another chunk of cash for retirement.

I'm not giving up my garage.
-
• #86771
Friend recently downsized their 4 bedroom family home with single garage to a 2 bedroom place with a double garage.
-
• #86772
I'm ok thanks.
-
• #86773
I'm 100% downsizing when kids have all turned 18. The thought of freeing up a load of money, and being able to move to a much nicer place in a nicer area (just smaller). Potentially be able to afford a much bigger garden, depending how I'm doing at that stage. Dreamy!
-
• #86774
Move into the garage and lease out the rest of the house...

Lol at all these people thinking their kids are going to be living in their own homes before they're 30.
Typical gen-xers.
When you walk through the french war cemeteries and see allied Muslim, Jew, and Christian buried side by side then see we need to remember all their sacrifices.
