  • Not sure how much this is worth, I apologize for that. Located in Paris, but I have a london friend ( @rosskenttt ) coming over this week end if you guys are quick enough. Would preferably want to trade for a zipp -17 stem, or an aarn chainring:)

Ill be happy if you guys could help me pinpoint a pricing. I bought it for 150, but yea, sounds high

  • Clean that muck off and you might get 40 quid for it

  • Oh damn alright, thanks for letting me know

  • TBH I think that’s a little bit on the low side. Yeh £30-40 is about the going rate for Thomson stems here (I’ve sold several in that range) and the general average seems to have crept up a bit over the years. But given that it’s the Cerakote one you might get £50-60 of someone’s keen on the colour.

    And who wouldn't be?

  • Paging @Hulsroy, he has the matching seatpost

  • Thanks. I saw this, but two bolt alu stems ain't for me

  • Woulda matched my old bike

  • Id be interested for 45

  • Can collect and bring back to London as mr Paul said

Most normal thomsons are going for £50 ish market value .
I’d say £75 is about right for the extra coating.

  • £50ish for a used Thomson stem? Since when? Rare to see them sell for that even on eBay.

@paul123 what angle is the stem? If it’s -17 then it’s no use to me but could be interested otherwise.

As ever it’s only worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay but even £75 sounds pretty steep just for the Cerakote.

  • It varies
£30 is usually for rough looking Thomsons.
But there’s a fair amount that have sold for £45/50/60 if in near mint condition
    Which the above is

Obviously worth what someone will pay, but logic suggests a higher cost product to start with should cost more than the standard one.

    We shall see

  • Nah, I’ve bought plenty near mint Thomson stems for sub £40.
Let me know where I can sell the few mint ones I have for £60.

OP would do well to do some research then name a price. Or put it on eBay and see what happens 🤷

  • It varies. As I said
30/40 is a good price for a Thomson, but they go for the range I said
If you go to EBay sold items
EBay tax takes some from you #gettaxed. But they are selling in the range I said before xxx
But yes likely OP won’t sell that for this here. EBay is his best bet

    Cheers

  • With apologies to the OP - I thought this was a one-off cerakote job. Google says this was a legit Thomson product. As such, rarity adds a premium

  • Yes, it's a limited edition one made by Thomson themselves. Just like the cyan one.

    Little update tho, it's sold.

  • Got it again:) Up for grab / trade:)

  • Still available?

  • Let me know where I can sell the few mint ones I have for £60.

Just reading back through this thread and you might want to look at eBay sold prices if you happen to have any -17° X2’s
