What is their reason for not wanting to touch them? I'm sure London Green Cycles near regents park would.

I think cycle care kensington specialise in Dutch bikes.

They’re not particularly special to work on they’re just cumbersome and backwards. I personally avoid them like the plague but they’re not complex or anything, they just leave you hating them. Often not looked after either so they’re usually filthy and rusty. That’s no fun.

And built to isolate components from the elements, making a simple chain clean or rear puncture repair a 15 minute affair.

Try Mamachari in Walthamstow. I mean their name suggests to me they probably would?

Ye I totally agree, they are a pain in the arse to work on. I guess some shops are making enough money that they can choose not to do annoying stuff, which surprises me.

Sounds like my Sister in-law's Pashley. Had to disconnect the hub and drum brake while the fender stays were swinging and what have you, just to change a rear inner tube.
Or are these Dutch bikes levels worse?

Yes. I know from experience ;)

Thanks I'll try them.

Bon velo in Herne hill and West Norwood seem to work on bikes as diverse as their neighbourhoods (all sorts of bikes).

Rat Race in nunhead have worked on mine before now.
Just expect extra labour costs as things take longer, as mentioned above.
I've got an Azor Oklahoma that really needs a proper major service. It's a testament to its build that I've ridden it for 20+ years and not done anything much to it, apart from new tyres. Most bike shops won't touch them… does anyone know anywhere in London that would? Any recommendations gratefully received. Thanks!
