I know where you guys are coming from when you talk about Richard Sachs, but here’s an anecdote for balance.
I was once lucky enough to own a Nobilette built Rivendell Custom which has cast in guides for the cables under the BB. I noticed Richard Sachs bikes have the same feature and mentioned in some online forum that I could do with some of that thin plastic liner to stop the cable eating the BB shell.
Got a surprise message in my inbox from Richard Sachs, then 2 weeks later a package turns up at the door by Air Mail with a foot long loop of liner, no charge no worries. Gentleman.
