  • Personally, don't need to be reminded of my own injuries and near misses.

Wish you mate a speedy recovery, with no after effects.

  • Dammit.

  • Has he got any decent pain meds to share?

  • I get spicy deja vu all the time from mine, didn’t realise it was an issue for other people.

  • Tough!
I've got a broken tibia and been off my leg for 7 weeks. It's been hard on the family. Lucky his daughters are older and can muck in

  • Bloody hell, 3 months recovery is gnarly stuff.
Hope he makes a full recovery and gets back at it in time!

  • That sucks. I must have missed if/when you mentioned it. Probably too busy moaning about my own aches and pains!

    Heal up!

  • Not something that triggers as such. Feel sympathy for the person. Come on we have all done stupid shit, and got away physically uninjured. Tho injured egos rarely heal.

  • Oh sort of forgot about your injury. Not enough pictures ;)

How long to go till back to normal?

  • You're not wrong... my immediate thought when I saw this and the seriousness of the injury was... "How the hell have I gotten away with hurling myself down the side of mountains on a pushbike all these years unscathed..."

  • Got the xray photos… @lynx are you prepared?

  • That sucks mate. Been there - did they put a rod in or no? It's been a long time but I recall the first month out of hospital being the worst.

Injury pics are grim, I've one somewhere of mine after one of the surgeries with staples from just above my ankle, all the way up my calf to bottom of my thigh.

  • You are one click away from me announcing you are on ignore every time you post.

Nah X rays are fine. They have air of not real.

  • No metal work luckily, got away with it.

And thanks @lynx few new weeks and I'll be back walking, hobbling.

  • Heal well fellow Moto dude

  • Let's be having em

  • Oh that is lucky, I didn't really have a choice. Hope you'll be able to get on the exercise bike for some light spinning - it definitely helped me.

I was up and hobbling around almost straight away, which is a plus for the metalwork but fuck me, was it painful for the first few weeks... I remember riding over to Royal Stanmore Orthopedic hospital on my then new GSXR1000K5 with crutches taped to the fairing for a consult and they were not very impressed. Left leg, so changing gear and getting off the side stand were not easy.

  • How about that….

  • Who said that? Er now this thread is only 800 pages long.

  • Idiot, you know you should have got a Ducati;).

    Hope no issues or pain.

  • A looks like Lidl strap banding
B Does he weigh more now on one side, remember to point that out at every opportunity.

Last opening up I got the used super glue on the big bit and staples on the little holes to suplimement the super glue not sticking.

Then no dressing and careful when you wash. Was back within 24 hours for dressing as just move broke the super glue.

  • Fairly random but if anyone wants a free and unused YB5L-B battery ( https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batteries/powerline/yb5l-b-agm/ )

Feel free to pm me, collection only sw19.

When they say measure the battery before you order it - that actually makes sense , doh!
