  • Kevlar jeans offer enough slide, and leathers in themself aren't adding any addition knee protection. It's less about the material covering the skin and more about the bulk of the protector over the joint.

  • Sure, but they do have very big protection inbuilt and held in just the right place and very comfy. Which is safe.

  • If I was doing longer or faster rides, I'd be up for it. I don't like the idea of squeezing into leather to pop to a couple shops and do a few errands.

    For town-traffic speeds (sub-60mph, often sub-40mph) what I'm looking for it the additional hard armour bit that the thin ghost armour doesn't have.

    I did enjoy the sensation of being on the CBR again today, but I would much prefer a relaxed ride than a bike that begs for knee-down everywhere.

    Not that the DR350 is a relaxed ride, it's a different kind of hooligan.

    Gonna try list the CBR again after it gets a new MOT this month.
