    I've had it about 3 years and although it's not amazing it isn't bad and I haven't found a better option yet. The seat pad is pretty flat now though so I could do with putting more foam in there. I assume it's mainly a case of taking the staples out, cutting some foam to shape and sticking some more staples in but it's not anything I've tried before.

    Any tips? In particular any suggestions on what foam and how much to use? Cheers

  • Go to dunelm and try out some foam irl to see how much it compresses.

    If you're going to add foam on top use some spray adhesive to secure it to the existing foam.

    Watch some videos on reupholstering. It's not rocket science, but it's good to know what order to work in.

  • You should be looking for a foam which has a soft compression top layer, bonded to a particle foam layer which has less compression for max comfort. If you are in London, give Pentonville Rubber a shout. They're in Pentonville Road.
