100% this is what I’m after. But also trying to not dress in all black like I have done forever.
I know muted green/blue/grey isn’t exactly colour explosion but it’s progress.Without sounding stupid, I basically just have to go out shopping and looking don’t I?
Trying to look online seems so endless and tricky. But I’m struggling to even find a start point.

Trying to look online seems so endless and tricky. But I’m struggling to even find a start point.Start with basics that can be worn frequently. Good simple heavy weight raw denim straight fit jeans, pants, plain t-shirts, functional footwear.
If you're hard on clothes like I am, then get things that age well. Heavy weight good denim, for example. Don't get white tailored chinos because they look fresh in the shop. It won't last. Once you get the basics, then get the white chinos.
Tellason in the US is probably exactly what you're looking for. Very high quality. Ages well. Looks good new and after 10 years. And age appropriate. I'm less picky about tellason pricing because it literally lasts decades and gets better with time. Strong recommend.
https://www.tellason.com/I also love Todd Snyder but this is way less hard wearing and durable. I frequently check out the sales because most of it is too expensive for my abusive use.
https://www.toddsnyder.com/If you want to go off the deep end of American style, check out black bear brand. It's kidney donation pricing but so so good.

I like the workwear/military aesthetic, if you do as well, there’s tons of options out there. Main thing is to experiment. I just tend to look for quality and stick to natural materials, buying from smaller makers when possible.
