  • If I wanted some new 2nd hand bindings what should I be searching for? And what is the cheapest likely price of something decent?

The board they're for is one with the row of holes, 2x4 right?

Union and Burton are the only brands I really know of, and I don't like my k2 ones.

  • I'm riding Nitro Team Pros. I did a fair amount of research before I went for those though. The only others I've ridden are Flux, which I liked but they're not hugely popular.
I'd steer away from Flow and Drake. Bigger brands are probably worth your time here for reliability. I don't get the impression smaller brands are doing anything extra exciting / new or different in a way that is better. I use TheGoodRide for binding reference generally

Salomon, Ride, Arbor and Rome seem to have good options last time I looked.
Brand depends on your feet also (big & wide or small & narrow).

  • Cheers.

  • Another excellent off-piste week with the other forum (Snowheads) around Serre Chevalier, Montgenevre and La Grave. Snow, sun, steeps, splitboarding and falling over.

  • Genuinely great pics. Looks like an excellent trip in what sounds to be a bleak snowfall season.

  • You really should join us next year, not only is the guide one of the coolest people you will ever meet, he will always find good turns

  • The second and last picture look dreamy.

  • I'm so jealous

  • Unbelievable conditions in Val Thorens yesterday...made the last day of the trip a blast!

    (Sorry @leggy_blonde)

  • That slide at the top must have been scary!

  • We didn't even notice it at the time. It didn't slide far so I only noticed it when I zoomed in on the photo.

Marc (skier) said he'd triggered a small slide but outran it.

  • Had a day's offpiste guiding as well...this is the couloir we took (right hand on the pic) and this is us looking into it from above.

  • New board today. T rice pro. Was riding the board on the right which is a bataleon evil twin, with new old stock 2012 union dlx bindings.
Rode that set up in Chamonix and then this year in tignes
Now iv got a new board I'm thinking 2021 bindings are not quite right aha.

    Any recommendations?
Ride regular, can ride switch to a degree
    Red runs are fine
Do hit park occasionally but only do small jumps ect wouldn't say I do tricks exactly. Can hit the odd grind ext.
Groomed slopes are enjoyed mostly with hitting the powder to the side occasionally too.

    Cheers guys

  • I have a palmer board, bindings and nike air force lace boots I want to get rid of.
What do people do with their old kit in London?
Is there somewhere that takes donations?

  • Heading to Japan in January; has anyone been to Nozawa Onsen before and have any tips or general recommendations (runs / stashes / food / onsens / whatever).
    Where is everyone going?

  • No idea about Japan I’m afraid. Or the alps, only been once. The pics in these last pages make me want to go again though… Will be heading in the opposite direction for Easter, just booked the sleeper train to Riksgränsen and then Narvik. Last time I took skis but thinking snowboard this time. Bought new wider skis for my kids as they’re good enough to handle a bit of off piste now. Probably need to do a short trip to somewhere in southern Norway before though, put everyone through their paces to get the most out of the real trip.

  • Hiked the snowboards up Skiddaw yesterday. Rewarded with some astonishing snow drifts off the north side. Bootpacked three big runs then gave in to save the legs for the descent back to the van. Such a surreal day!
