The “stone” ones on AliExpress are good - I have a 60t 110bcd
-

I was looking at them. My concern is I'll be running 12 speed axs, which is fussy with chainrings.
How is 60t round the lake?

Fine with an 11-32

Remember this? 9 years ago...
Well I won't get any more use from it [fuck it up any further] and can't reasonably sell it, so wondered if anyone knew of a lanky, (ideally up & coming) tester with an appetite for risk/funds to repair, who's after a frameset?
Really it needs a new driveside chainstay and a pair of forks, but I rode it as is...
Just after the cost of postage and if they wanted to "buy the server a beer" that would be dandy, but I won't be policing that (and I can't imagine it being flipped).

Would anyone be interested in my super bike?
After quite a good season last year, I’ve managed to hurt myself in a way that is going to preclude sitting in a TT position this year at least.
Been raced 1ce, won.
Training rides maybe 200km.
Factor Hanzo Medium.
Front trispoke, rear disc (both revolver) DA/Ui2 mix.
£7k feels like a good price. And it should allow me to buy an Nvidia powered machine.

Fair play.
I was riding on my madone with a 48tooth single ring last year. I'm intrigued to see how a massive single ring feels.

Have I dreamt seeing adjustable tt extensions? Sure I’ve seen some where you can adjust the hand hold area’s angle and possibly adjust the middle too to change the bar angle?
-
• #20559
All I can think of is the Redshift springy ones and maybe these but not adjustable extensions
-
• #20560
There are a few, but I'm not sure of any that are 'universal'. Syncros have some designed for the Scott Plasma, Look have a very similar system on the 796.

These actually look alright. I wonder if they'd work with my old TriRig base bar. By the sounds of it the upward bolted version should suit and they look pretty adjustable.

I have hardly done a TT in almost 10 years. If I wanted to do a couple this year just for the hell of it, what would I need to update to be OK with latest aero knowledge?
I'm thinking my frame is probably good enough but that I would need new:
Skin suit
Front end
Helmet
Wheels
Socks / calf-warmer thingys
Gloves (?)Anything else?
And what should I get - I don't need to have / can't justify paying for the best, just 'good enough' modern kit?

Ah yeh maybe I’ve seen ones that came on bikes or custom for pros
Do like the shape of these visions

But if the end was adjustable they’d be much better and might feel worth the price! -

Hundreds of hours of aero testing time.
I'd ride a few with what you've got first to see if you can really be bothered. Then worry about upgrading, starting with clothes and helmet. I tested helmets with nutshell when he was local and then bought a cheap version of what I tested fastest with. Skinsuits I just buy whatever fastest one NoPinz has at the time.

I 3D printed some bar ends at different angles so I could have a play with what worked for me before committing. Printed in PA I trust these enough to use on the road, but obvs wouldn't recommend it.
I think the Profile design ASC are slightly more affordable than the Vision ones, and now come in a 52 and 43 degree.

That's probably good advice - thanks for saving me ££££ when I ride one and remember why I stopped doing them!

I have a couple of NoPinz suits (both Medium) and a Bell Javelin (Small) as well as some racier tyres if you're thinking of going 2nd hand.

hardly done a TT in almost 10 years. If I wanted to do a couple this year just for the hell of it, what would I need
Lights and helmet.
I'm as guilty of pissing money up the wall as the next man, but TTs are just as much fun on a cheap bike. -
• #20570
The cheap bike is the bit that I already have, so that's easy!
I didn't think about lights. I do have lights mounted on the bike already as I used them on 12s before it was a thing, but I expect there will be more aero options.
I do need a helmet as I've only got a faring. It used to be Stuart Dangerfield's but that still won't make it legal.

2nd hand is good but my head is massive! I have an NP suit but I struggled to get into it 10 years ago when I was half a stone lighter so I doubt that's an option, and it will be out of date now so no point trying.

Look do the aergo to fit a standard 31.8 stem

my head is massive!
How massive? Size L, or like me, so big that there are only about three helmets in the world which fit properly, and none of them are current model TT helmets.
