I thought the 7700s were a full carbon rim.

I don't think so, but I've done some googling and I think it was more likely a WH-7701 going by pictures. It had the chevron decals.

Bit torn on this one; on one hand it's pretty damn tight for a modern cookie-cutter aero bike despite all that head tube, but on the other, I just can't get behind that drivetrain

Actually, I'm thinking that oil slick finish, that I've never been into, actually kinda works on a chain. Better than gold, anyway
