From seeing bits of their other excellent work on here, @Manson7am might be able to point you in the right direction at least...?
Edit - ha, I see you've already gone direct...

Haha! Now it all makes sense

If you haven't seen bullet train, I recommend that you do. A very funny film, IMO.

My neighbour bought a jigsaw off eBay. It’s 110v according to text on the casing, and has what looks like an outside plug / what you might plug into a generator/ site supply?
I tried to advise on what might be needed to run it off mains (UK), but this is out of my comfort zone tbh. Photo attached - it’s three pin.
Any help greatly appreciated!

Needs a 110V transformer, the kind used for site work will be centre tapped to earth and have the right socket, e.g. https://www.tester.co.uk/defender-portable-power-tool-transformer (no affiliation🙂)

Thank you! At least now I know what to look for.
EDIT: although used ones cost more than what they paid for the jigsaw.

Yeah, easiest option will be sell it on eBay and buy a 240v
I think I got a 110v transformer off gumtree for ~£30 a few years back. But they’re heavy things - and lugging around a 15kg transformer with your 1.5kg jigsaw is a chore

I think I agree with you!

My parents have had a couple of poems recreated and framed by friend who's a professional calligrapher and they turned out very nice. I can DM you her website if you're interested.

I’m looking for a half decent DAB+ stereo for the garage. I can’t do Wi-Fi speaker type things as there is no phone coverage and the Wi-Fi in the house does not reach either. Just really want to be able to turn it up loud so I do not want a crappy “portable” 3watts pile.

Wi-fi speaker and extender?

• #120914
Or do you enjoy the lack of signal? Would you get decent radio signal?
-
• #120915
I don’t think an extender will cut it, but if it did I could also get the tv to work properly…hmm
-
• #120916
Yeah the radio is fine, the old bush DAB works fine, but it does not do loud :(

Ok, you win. Never in a million years would I have come up with that.
Now am imaging, trains flirting, or would it be the trains shagging the carriages. Now have more questions that I don't want to think about.

Don't want to know how you found that.

I have this 15 year old 18V Makita work lamp. It has a CFL tube and I’d like to see if I can switch it to an LED equivalent, ideally for more lumens. The lamp type is shown on the label.
Q1) Can I just fit any GX23 LED equivalent, or do I need to match the voltage?
Q2) Any recommendations for somewhere that does LED lamps with decent quality light? I’m guessing the £7.50 eBay ones from China are going to be a waste of money.

This 7 speed chain doesn't fit very well. Although seems fine at the front. Should I have bought a single speed chain?
